




In 1721 Richard Newsham, an English Inventor, saw the need for fire equipment in England.
He files 2 patents (in 1721 and 1725) that would allow him to control the fire apparatus of the times.
He made the first water pumper in 1721 and the Hook & Ladder soon followed. The first water pumper can be seen here.
Both vehicles were horse drawn as the gasoline engine was not invented yet.
